We breed the SA Vleismerino variety, which offers good quality meat while still producing wool of excellent quality. The sheep roam the farm freely and have access to a variety of indigenous grasses, herbs, shrubs and trees to stimulate their wellbeing. It is this approach that gives the meat its extraordinary flavor.

Our sheep are not only excellent farmworkers, they are also an integral part of the eco system. They are part of the family to us. We believe in a strong bond between all living creatures with mutual respect. For us it is not uncommon to have some sheep trying to use the backdoor in search for a quick snack. Or just for a cuddle or a massage, if they want attention.

Since we are all about sustainability, we sell our lambs locally and hence we support the local community and keep the carbon footprint low. We also offer guests for the cottage the possibility of ordering fresh lamb.
