The Mammals, our Dear Family Members.

When it comes to our own family, the mammals, it is amazing to see the amount of animals on the farm.  However, it is a challenge to observe them as they will avoid any human contact whenever possible. But they do leave their marks around to indicate their presence and on some rare occasions, we are fortunate enough to observe them close-up. (Mostly when we do not have a camera on us!)
Let's start with some Antelopes that are sharing the farm environment with our sheep. There is the Reedbuck, the Bushbuck, the Common Duiker and the Cape Greybuck with other types of antelopes visiting the farm from time to time. 
This world is also dominated by mongoose. At least 4 different types of mongoose can be seen regularly on the farm. The Large Grey Mongoose, the Water Mongoose, the Yellow Mongoose and the Small Grey Mongoose. Not forgetting  to mention the very stinky Striped Polecat. The Honey Badger, the Cape Clawless Otter or the porcupine are always a welcome sight.
From a predator perspective, the abundance is amazing. From the Black-backed Jackal, the Caracal, the Bat-eared Fox, the Leopard, the African Wild Cat, the Large-spotted Genet, the Small-spotted Genet or the incredible Aardwolf,  all of them have been observed on the farm.
And let's not forget all the little ones that maintain and fertilize the land for us. From the Moles and the Voles, the Rats and the Mice to the Hares and Rock Dassies.
We also enjoy the presence of thousands of bats that keep the mosquitos in the evening sky in balance.

At Infinity Farm we are very well aware that we share this planet with around 8.1 million different species (excluding the prokaryotic world and the viruses) and the only way forward for humanity is in finding a natural balance where our food is sourced from a shared environment.
